I have a fairly apocalyptic temperament - I routinely named checked Children of Men as my favorite film of 06', I haven't been able to get eough of Cormac McCarthy's The Road and I generally agree with Chad Harbach's assertion in a recent essay for N+1 in which he suggests that given the projections that environmental scientists are now making, the apocalyptic novel, which began with Mary Shelley's 1826 novel The Last Man, is now threatening to become "historical fiction". Even if you found An Inconvenient Truth unconvincing and think it's relatively normal that its 75 degrees in the midwest in mid October, I'd urge you to check out PBS Frontline's Heat. Here's a trailer.
